Sweetwater Preserve offers some of the finest quail hunting in the Montgomery area. It features a cozy lodge in a country setting, good guides and handlers, quality dogs and top-notch personal service.
Sweetwater Preserve is part of the original Pickett Plantation established in the 1820's. In the early days, settlers hunted game as a necessity for survival. As time passed and food became more available, hunting evolved into a sport. As a child, I remember my Granddaddy gathering with his friends and business associates to hunt quail in the vast sage fields laced with pine and hardwood trees. I have fond memories of the end of the hunt with men gathering around a fire for good conversation and reflection of the day's hunt.
Today, Sweetwater Preserve is proud to offer this same setting to friends and business associates. We anticpate you will enjoy a quality quail hunt along with Southern Hospitality. Sweetwater Preserve welcomes you to visit, hunt and relax with us.
We hope to see you soon,
Chuck Pickett
